The current edition is inspired by New Year’s Eve in the home of Sherry, Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, where the celebration is known as “Nochevieja” or “The Old Night,” full of meaning and tradition. This limited edition matured in exceptional sherry oak casks, capturing nostalgic aromas of home, making it the perfect gift for a loved one. Jerez plays a crucial role in The Macallan’s past, present, and future. A combination of European and American sherry-matured casks captures the flavors, traditions, and memories.

Classic Cut is an annual limited series of whiskies with a unique character. The whisky profile changes with each release, offering a new tasting experience to discover each year. The 2024 release is the eighth edition, continuing the exploration of flavors, with a blend of American bourbon oak and European sherry casks. The creativity of Classic Cut is unique, as it highlights the changes in aromas, revealing nuances at full strength (52.4%) and with the “cut” with water at 40% vol. Both strengths were carefully selected by whisky maker Steven Bremner for this sensory journey.

The fourth edition of The Macallan Harmony Collection – Vibrant Oak, reflects the 200th anniversary and the influence of sherry-seasoned oak barrels in Macallan whisky-making. The Macallan and Cirque du Soleil teamed up to tell Macallan’s oak story in an imaginative, visual, and innovative way. Created by the whisky team, this spirit ages in a combination of carefully selected sherry-seasoned American oak and refill sherry casks to capture the classic American oak notes of vanilla, citrus, and sweet oak. The 2024 release features folk characters from the Cirque du Soleil Macallan Experience set against majestic landscapes.
