Glenfiddich extends the Grand Series: Grand Château 31 year old

Glenfiddich, the world’s most awarded single malt Scotch whisky, has unveiled its latest limited edition product, Grand Château, which challenges the norms by unexpectedly combining two worlds of luxury. Glenfiddich Grand Château is a 31-year-old whisky for which the distillery is using red wine casks from the Bordeaux region for the first time, in which the liquid is matured over an extended period of nine years.

The whisky was matured in American oak before being aged for nine years in exceptional Bordeaux red wine casks from the French wine-growing region to celebrate a new fusion of flavours. The nine-year finish adds layer upon layer of new and unexpected flavours. Caramelised cherries and apples intertwine with warming spices and toasted oak to create an opulent, earthy, fruity yet floral taste.

This limited edition whisky is part of the Glenfiddich Grand Series, a collection that brings together single malts and cultures from around the world.

Nose:
Warm, enveloping vanilla slowly unfolds fruity, floral notes of ripe cassis berries and spicy, nutty flavours
