New: Jack Daniel’s Bonded Rye
Jack Daniel’s unveils Jack Daniel’s Bonded Rye, a new expression that expands the Bonded Series, the collection of innovative whiskeys that celebrate the distillery’s heritage.
As the brand’s first rye whiskey to carry the Bottled-in-Bond designation, Jack Daniel’s Bonded Rye embodies the absolute commitment to quality and authenticity that characterises every whiskey produced by the distillery.
With its bottle inspired by the original design of the Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey bottle from 1895, Jack Daniel’s Bonded Rye is not only an exceptional sensory experience, but also a tribute to the brand’s history and timeless aesthetic.
Jack Daniel’s Bonded Rye is the latest creation from Master Distiller Chris Fletcher and his colleague Lexie Phillips, the first female Assistant Master Distiller. The name Jack Daniel’s Bonded Rye is derived from the term ‘Bottled-in-Bond’, for which a number of conditions apply. Firstly, the whiskey must come from a single distillery, be produced in a single distillation season, then mature for at least four years and be bottled at an alcohol content of 50 degrees.
This new whiskey draws its speciality from its aromatic profile. From the first tasting, it opens with notes of dried fruit, reminiscent of a subtle sweetness, followed by lingering hints of caramel, giving it a bold, complex and balanced flavour. A spicy rye finish adds a touch of vibrancy and character to each sip, its unmistakable signature.

About Jack Daniel’s
Jack Daniel’s was the first distillery registered in the USA in 1866 and has been perpetuating the remarkable expertise initiated by its founder Jasper Newton Daniel, known as ‘Jack’, for over 150 years. The basis for this is an exceptional environment: the land of Lynchburg and the clear, cool spring water of Cave Spring Hollow, which bubbles at a constant temperature of 13°C.
Jack Daniel’s expertise is also evident in the unique production process, which takes place in various stages. In the most symbolic method, ‘charcoal mellowing’, the spirits are filtered drop by drop through a three metre thick layer of maple charcoal. Maturation then takes place in new, toasted and burnt American oak barrels, which have always been produced in Jack Daniel’s own cooperage. The great temperature fluctuations, the cold in winter and the heat in summer, which can be observed during maturation in the barrel house, finally complete the work of creating this legendary American whiskey.
Today, Jack Daniel’s is a global icon, represented in over 170 countries and producing the famous Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7, Gentleman Jack, Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Collection & Jack Daniel’s Bonded Series. A legendary brand in the production of top quality whiskeys that has stood the test of time and generations of consumers.
Jack Daniel’s Bonded Rye is now available in Switzerland.
