Ramón Bilbao completes core range with Límite wines

There are many paths to discover in Rioja that go beyond the traditional classification. We now carry Ramón Bilbao’s Límite wines exclusively in Switzerland.

With the wines Limite Sur and Norte, discover two different landscapes of Rioja, where extreme and very different weather conditions prevail, producing exceptional grapes. The wines show the diversity and richness of the region.

Límite Norte 50% Maturana Blanca and 50% Tempranillo Blanco

A wine whose grapes grow in the westernmost zone of Rioja, from autochthonous varieties that are not often found and that grow in an extreme climate with Atlantic, fresh influences. After fermentation, ageing takes place on fine lees in concrete, amphorae and French 600-litre barrels. Assemblage and ageing in French 225 litre barrels for 6 months, plus 12 months in bottle.

Límite Sur 100% Garnacha

A Rioja from an unknown parcel in the Sierra de Yerga, where the altitude moderates the summer heat and the winds of the Cierzo and the east coast are felt. Maceration before fermentation to preserve the floral aromas and colour extraction. Fermentation in concrete (with a percentage of stems, for freshness and tannin) at 24ºC. Ageing in different materials (amphorae, 600 litre barrels and concrete). Assemblage and ageing in French 225-litre barrels for 8 months.
