The Macallan RED Collection
The Macallan RED Collection reflects the brand’s deep respect for time, tradition, and craftsmanship. It celebrates the rich palette of red hues that are naturally present at every stage of The Macallan’s production process.
The distinctive red color runs like a thread through The Macallan’s history. It begins with the name of its founder, Alexander Reid – literally “The Red” – and continues through the “Choice Old” range introduced in 1903, to Allan Shiach’s practice in the 1980s of marking vintage bottles of The Macallan with a red ribbon.
