The new Essentiel line from Piper-Heidsieck
Piper-Heidsieck expands the Essentiel line with the Blanc de Noirs
The latest creation from Piper-Heidsieck, the Essentiel Blanc de Noirs cuvée is a tribute to the blue grape varieties of Champagne: Pinot Noir – a symbolic grape variety in the history of the house – and Pinot Meunier. The cuvée, which is made exclusively from grapes from VDC*-certified vineyards, symbolises the House’s commitment to ensuring VDC certification of its partner winegrowers by 2025.

Essentiel Blanc de Noirs is the first creation entirely created by Émilien Boutillat, Head Winemaker of the House since 2018. The Blanc de Noirs offers a delicate sensory experience characterised by freshness. Its nose is characterised by yellow fruits that fade into red and black fruits, as well as smoky and spicy notes. The palate is crisp and full-bodied, with hints of citrus fruit. The finish is round with elegance and tension and provides a delicate balance.
Matured for three years and with an extra brut dosage, the cuvée opens up a wide range of possible combinations to complement gastronomic moments.
About Piper-Heidsieck
The history of the Piper-Heidsieck champagne house goes back a long way. It all began with the vision of the German Florenz-Ludwig Heidsieck, who wanted to make sparkling wines worthy of a queen as early as 1785. Today, the young cellar master Émilien Boutillat is realising this traditional vision to perfection.
